Qigong Therapy

Qigong comprises of a wide range of mind and body exercises, which range from Qigong health exercises, and Qigong medical exercises. Qigong therapy can be tailored to the health needs of the individual. In other words, the Qigong therapist can prescribe the correct Qigong exercise according to the practitioner's condition.

In addition to promoting all round healthcare, Qigong can act as a therapy for specific illnesses. Qigong therapy is able to treat chronic psychosomatic health problems. Scientific research on Qigong therapy shows that it can not only help people recover quickly when used alongside orthodox or complementary medicine, or decrease the side effects of modern medicine, but it can also cure some diseases completely.

Based on the theory that mind and body are interdependent, Qigong therapy seeks to complement, rather than replace, modern medicine, which tends to divide body and mind into two mutually exclusive realms.

In China over the last 20 years, Qi emission therapy has been popular throughout the country, and was mentioned in some ancient texts. Like Reiki therapy in the west, the therapists of Qi emission must be advanced Qigong practitioners who should be able to regulate the Qi to help the patients' condition, instead of acupuncture.
