This course is for beginners and is the essential basic foundation for the practice of Qigong. Anyone interested in Qigong can join in this course. Based on a weekly class and some weekend seminars or workshops, our teachers will guide you step by step in the body postures, breathing exercises, methods of mind regulation, and related theories. Every three months there will be an exam, which includes the theory and practice of Qigong. After passing these exams, the LAQ &TCM and Beidaihe Qigong Institute will issue a certificate.

- General introduction to Qigong
- Basic theory of Qigong and TCM
- Traditional Qigong practicing procedures from ancient China
- The principles of Qigong practice
- The normal responses, abnormal responses, and the prevention system to avoid abnormal responses.
- History of Qigong
- Brief introduction to the Medical Qigong composition and its application.
- Modern research on Qigong.
- Introduction to four Qigong exercises for health revised and promoted by the China Sports Commission in 2003 i.e. eight brocade Qigong exercises, five animals Qigong exercises, six healing sounds Qigong exercises, and tendon changing Qigong exercises.
- Teach and practice one Qigong exercise for health, of the above-mentioned new version of the standard Qigong exercises.
- Introduction to foundation Qigong exercises, which will be delivered in a traditional ancient manner.
- Teach and practice some foundation Qigong exercises.
- Teach inner regulation Qigong exercises part one ----dynamic inner regulation Qigong exercises.
- Practise inner Qigong exercises part one ---still inner regulation exercises.
- Practise healthcare Qigong exercises as practiced in Beidaihe Qigong Institute.
- Practise four forms of medical Qigong part one.
